"We did three days on location on the pilot. We shot on
the beach at Leo Carillo, which has been used by thousands
of productions. We did a nice job with it; it was a
beautiful beach on a beautiful day with two very
attractive people.
Disney Ranch had a covered bridge that's very beautiful,
and we shot the picnic sequence where Sisko and all the
aliens are talking there. We also went to a baseball field
right below the Jet Propulsion Laboratory in La Crescenta.
It was a fairly secluded, private place where we could
make a late-thirties baseball training facility for the
pilot."
