 HOVATH

PLAYED BY: Lawrence Monoson
SPECIES: Bajoran Male

Hovath was a Bajoran who lived in a small village and was an understudy to the Sirah, a storyteller who drove away a mythical beast called the Dal'Rok which attacked the village once a year at harvest time.

 THE SIRAH

PLAYED BY: Kay E. Kuter
SPECIES:  Bajoran Male

This elderly Bajoran man was the Sirah of a Bajoran village, led by magistrate Faren Kag, until his death in 2369. He advised the magistrate to send out a medical emergency call and request help from Deep Space 9. In Chief Miles O'Brien he found his successor. In the final night of the Dal'Rok he was very weak and unable to fulfill his role as Sirah but assisted O'Brien during the procedure. Shortly after the Dal'Rok was defeated he died.

 VARIS SUL

PLAYED BY: Gina Philips
SPECIES: Bajoran Female

Varis Sul was the fifteen-year-old Tetrarch of the Bajoran Paqu village. In 2369, she visited Deep Space 9 to negotiate a settlement over a boundary dispute with the neighboring Navot village, which almost turned into a civil war.

 NOG

PLAYED BY: Aron Eisenberg
SPECIES:
Ferengi Male

Nog is the son of Quark's brother, Rom. When the Bajoran factions Paqu and Navot were negotiating an agreement on DS9 in 2369, Nog saw Varis, the Paqu negotiator, who was an attractive young girl, and became instantly infatuated with her. Because he was reluctant to meet her, he asked Jake if he could arrange it.

 FAREN KAG

PLAYED BY: James W. Jansen
SPECIES: Bajoran Male

Faren Kag was the magistrate of a village on Bajor. In 2369, he contacted Deep Space 9's commanding officer, Benjamin Sisko, at the request of the Sirah and requested medical assistance. He believed his village was in danger of extinction, but not from plague or war; rather, if the Sirah died and was no longer there to "tell the story", the Dal'Rok would destroy the village.

 WOBAN

PLAYED BY: Jordan Lund
SPECIES: Bajoran Male

Woban was the leader of the Bajoran Navot village. In 2369 he visited Deep Space 9 to negotiate a settlement over a boundary dispute with the neighboring Paqu village, which almost turned into a civil war. The Paqu and Navot territories were separated by the Glyrhond River, which was diverted during the Cardassian occupation, causing the Paqu to gain twenty kilometers of territory previously owned by the Navot.

 WOMAN

PLAYED BY: Amy Benedict
SPECIES:
Bajoran Female

This Bajoran woman asked for Chief O'Brien's blessing for her daughter after he had been proclaimed as the new Sirah of her village
