In 2369, Vash broke off her partnership with Q while in the Gamma Quadrant and was found by Jadzia Dax a short time later and returned to Federation space with the USS Ganges. When she arrived at DS9 she did not come empty-handed. Partnering with Quark, Vash was able to offer for auction some noted Gamma Quadrant artifacts.

An omnipotent being who previously inflicted himself on Captain Picard and the crew of the Enterprise-D. In 2369, Q followed Vash back to the Alpha Quadrant after the discovery of the Bajoran wormhole created a new avenue of travel between there and the Gamma Quadrant. Having had so much fun with her, Q wanted to continue exploring the galaxy, but Vash wanted nothing to do with him.

The Bajoran clerk ran the assay office on the space station Deep Space 9 in 2369. He inventoried Vash's possessions that she placed in a storage locker. He assured her that the assay office was the safest place to keep her goods. |

Kolos was an alien business associate of Quark's. He did not think very highly of Quark, calling him as an "obsequious toad." Kolos participated in an auction in Quark's Bar in 2369, in which artifacts brought back from the Gamma Quadrant by Vash were offered for sale. |
