A service the Districts provide for them is to help find them job placements. Michael Webb and his son Danny were classed as gimmies in the 2020s.

A male party guest associate of Chris Brynner's had secured the rights for a new seafloor mining operation in their territory in 2024. However, the Pan-Caribbean government had expressed reservations concerning the project.

When Kira wanted to speak with Wright about this, however, Starfleet and the Federation had already disappeared due to a timeline change.
